The Gay beach at Grand Travers

Located between Carnon and La Grande-Motte, the Grand Travers beach is one of the most popular in the department. The beach is in fact a long, narrow strip of sand, 3km in length, which includes both a beach and a back beach made up of dunes of a rare natural richness. The beach is one of the few beaches in our region that is not covered in concrete. It's an ideal place to discover the flora and fauna of the seaside, and a great place for swimming and walking.

This textile beach is frequented by gays who meet on the other side of the road, in the dunes. It's a must for cruising on hot summer nights...
